If you’ve ever wanted more time with your kids, more control, more freedom…I was you.

I’m Ben Black -father of three, multiple business owner, and the creator of The Foundry.

But before this I was burned out. I started as an industrial electrician working long hours and call-outs, eventually running my own contracting business in Auckland, New Zealand. But I knew it wasn’t the future I desired for my children.

I knew I never wanted my wife to have to work for some other man if she didn’t want to so she could be the mother she was meant to. And I knew I had to create something for my sons to step into as they grew up.

I had some financial success, but I was still deeply unfulfilled. When my daughter was born, I knew I was missing out on a lot of the time a man is meant to spend with his family. Time I could NEVER get back.

So I took a leap, studied relentlessly, built some income streams, left my contracting business, and moved my family to our homestead.

Now I work on my own time, from my homestead in rural New Zealand.

I spend afternoons training my sons. I eat 3 meals a day with my family. I show my daughter first hand what a man should be – through example.

But I didn’t start this way. I burned years battling alone.

I had no community. No feedback. No one who actually understood what I was trying to build for my family.
